"I use art to express the world around me, real or imaginative, in ways that my words cannot,” says Portia. Through her use of experimentation and a wide range of materials, Portia’s paintings offer a fresh perspective on a wide variety of subjects, inviting viewers to respond in their own individual way. Her love of color, nature and travel have shaped her artistic journey. She paints in her Cape Cod studio but evokes memories of the many people and places she has known.
